Lilburn Market Report – March, 2010
May 9th, 2010 Categories: For Buyers, For Sellers, Lilburn, Parkview, Things to do
Market stats for Lilburn, GA March, 2010, indicate that there are 419 properties on the market (as of March 31st). Overall, there is about a 15.3 month supply of properties, with a slowing in sales since December. That is fairly normal for the winter season. March sales were up compared to 2009, though. Arcado Elementary Lunchtime Thoughts…
August 26th, 2009 Categories: Lilburn, Parkview, Things to do
The “Lunch Lady” did NOT have an easy job.
One of the reasons that I embarked on my career in real estate is that I wanted to be able to spend more time IN the lives of my children. And today has definitely been a rung in that ladder. I volunteered to help the small kids with lunch at Arcado Elementary School in Lilburn, GA.
Basically, the kindergartners need a Read the rest of this entry »

I’m a Bruster’s Booster…
August 18th, 2009 Categories: Lilburn, Parkview
It was one of the first clear words from our oldest son… OK, it wasn’t that clear, but we knew what he meant…
Boosters…
I mean Bruster’s…
After a game at Parkview, a lap around the Mountain Park Park or even a hike up to the top of Stone Mountain, what could be better than a scoop from Bruster’s? Not much… Ice cream rocks! And Read the rest of this entry »

Location, Location, Location…
June 3rd, 2009 Categories: For Buyers, Lilburn, Parkview
That has to be the most tired and over-used statement in real estate. But there is a problem with it… It kind of died as a truism.
The idea behind that statement is that homes in the right area could bring more money. And that has always been true… But there is a big donut hole in the theory…
People go to where they can get the house they want…

SRBC Car Show Delayed until May 16th
May 2nd, 2009 Categories: Lilburn, Parkview, Things to do
The Smoke Rise Baptist Church Car Show, scheduled for today was delayed by weather. Overnight rains forced the organizers to alter the date, fearing more poor weather.
A few cars showed up this morning, but apparently the website and email list was pretty effective at getting out the word.
One of the cars that was there this morning was this beautiful Shelby GT500 clone. Gotta love a 428 Cobra Jet.

Looking for a Teacher at Parkview HS or Trickum MS
March 3rd, 2009 Categories: Lilburn, Parkview
I have just started volunteering for Junior Achievement. I wanted to help out in Parkview High School or Trickum Middle School, but they don’t have partnerships with any of the teachers there. Instead, I’ll be volunteering at Norcross High School for the time being.
Junior Achievement is a great program, and it would benefit the students to have access to this type of curriculum.
If you are a teacher at Parkview High School or Trickum Middle School in Gwinnett County, or an Administrator, feel free to shoot me a message and I’ll be HAPPY to put you in touch with the right folks at JA. They would LOVE to be involved here in Lilburn.

Parkview Football Booster Yearbook, 2009
October 25th, 2008 Categories: Lilburn, Parkview
I have been meaning to mention for a while now that I have a full page of color sponsorship… page 137.
I am very proud to be supporting Parkview football, and the boosters. Even though I don’t have a high school aged child (my oldest being just 4), we enjoy getting out to some games.
Take a look… drop by the blog regularly. Comment. Heck, we can even do lunch…
And thank you for stopping by.

Football Night in America… ok, Lilburn
August 19th, 2008 Categories: Lilburn, Parkview
I actually posted this on my other blog last year… but it is SO appropriate. I am so excited to be advertising in the program this year.
We just got back from a fun event. Ok, if I were a serious fan of Parkview, it might not have been as fun… but if I were a serious fan of Brookwood, it would have been a hoot. But, I’m not going to actually talk about the game, except in the most circumspect of ways. I want to talk about the event. Read the rest of this entry »
