Garrett with a couple of classmates before getting geared up...
Garrett has been wondering since the beginning of school when he would be able to show the other kids in his class what kind of equipment he wore to play ice hockey. Today was the day that he was able to do that…
I took his equipment bag to school this afternoon, along with some extra pads and gear for the kids to pass around and try on. Garrett got dressed as we explained what each piece of gear did. We also fielded questions from his classmates about hockey, equipment and ice skating.

I wanted to take a moment to thank the class. It was fun meeting each of them and hearing the questions. Garrett and I both hope that you had fun trying on the pads and finding out what hockey players wear…
